Thoughts on the Yale Black Solidarity Conference

This past weekend, the Williams BSU took a trip to the Yale BSC. The Yale BSC draws in hundreds of students each year to discuss topics relevant to black communities across the diaspora. This year, the conference discussed the relationship between Black communities and general themes of sexuality.

Some interesting topics included: marriage, interracial relationships, teen pregnancy, queer communities within Black communities, and the list goes on. The conference also showcased a concert by Atlanta group Travis Porter and Keynote Dinner with Angela Davis. Our constituents definitely enjoyed the conference and really valued the opportunity to talk with students from peer institutions.

Travis Porter:

What were your thoughts, if you attended? Would you be willing to attend in the future? Let us know in the comment box. Also, enjoy some of the photos from the weekend.
