October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

https://ted.com/talks/view/id/1031

Every man needs to hear Tony Porter speak, especially every Black man. Here is his TEDWomen talk where he argues that the root of violence against women stems from men’s attachment to the “Man Box”. In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the BSU will be collaborating with the Women’s Collective (Women’s Center, Women of Color Coalition & Women of Color Resource Center) to help raise awareness on domestic violence, as well as the impact it has on the relationships, sexuality and gender roles of young people of color. Our sisters over at the WCRC will be updating their site daily, so go check them out: wcrc.tumblr.com Happy Reading!
